Costières de Nîmes PDO
Domaine du Vistre, a wine estate of over 80 hectares, is located in Vauvert, near the Château de Candiac. The Dupret family, winegrowers for several generations, have guided their vineyard, year after year, towards quality grape varieties and have wisely invested in their winemaking facilities in order to create high-quality wines.
Today, the arrival of the sixth generation reinforces the estate's commitment to this approach, with the desire to pass on a legacy that is both successful and authentic. They warmly welcome you to the Domaine's wine cellar, as well as at markets and events held on the property or elsewhere.
Domaine du Vistre is committed to a voluntary approach with HVE (High Environmental Value) certification
This certification aims to maintain a high level of biodiversity by limiting inputs (fertilizers, plant protection products, etc.) for the preservation of our nature .
To help us fight against butterflies and insects harmful to vines and grapes, we have set up, in partnership with COGARD (Ornithological Centre of GARD ), nesting boxes for insectivorous birds and bat roosts.
We also host a beekeeper's hives on the property, who harvests honey from the flowering plants and shrubs that grow along the Vistre River. All these actions are beneficial to biodiversity on the estate's land, since in addition to the usual wildlife we had (rabbits, hares, foxes, badgers, martens, weasels, etc.), we now have beavers, otters, and we even photographed a genet with a thermal camera along the Vistre River.
Reception of the public
The cellar is open on Mondays from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm and from Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
Sundays by appointment.
Summer schedule : from July 1st to September 30th, Mondays from 2:30pm to 6:30pm and Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm and from 2:30pm to 6:30pm.
